Vorteile

• Einfache Bedienung (ohne Vorkenntnisse bedienbar, keine Zugangssoftware nötig)
• Installation und Wartung müssen nicht selber erledigt werden.
• Systematische Adresse möglich (bspw.: http://stuga.sport.uni-bremen.de )

Nachteile

• Wenn alle Seiten (vor allem die Startseite) von jedem/r geändert werden kann geht eine Strukturierung/Übersicht schnell verloren
  • Einzelne Seiten können geschützt werden und sind dann nur noch von den Administratoren änderbar. Zukünftig soll es auch weitere Benutzerrechte geben, die genauer einteilen wer was darf.
• Nimmt die erste Begeisterung ab und nur noch wenige pflegen die Seite, enstehen schnell "verwaiste" Bereiche an denen sich oft keine/r traut zu löschen und/oder zu ändern
  • Das ist leider wahr, aber das Problem jeden auf Mitarbeit bauenden Systemes.

Bedienung

Für die Bedienung der eingesetzten Wikis soll es auch Einführungsveranstaltungen geben. Jason ?! arbeitet zur Zeit daran diesen Vortrag auszuarbeiten. Inhaltlich soll es einerseits darum gehen, wie man mit einfachsten Mitteln schon viel erreichen kann, zum anderen soll aber auch der Ausblick gegeben werden, welche vielfältigen Möglichkeiten sich in dem System befinden.

• Einige Studiengänge verwenden eine ZfN-Mailingliste, für die Anmeldung gibt ein massgeschneidertes Anmeldeformular unter http://stuga.math.uni-bremen.de/majordomo.html, das man leicht an einen anderen Studiengang anpassen kann, indem man einfach ein paar Wörter im HTML-Quellcode ersetzt. Leider kann man im MediaWiki keine Formulare machen, deshalb muss man diese HTML-Datei verwenden.
